About this osterville gift
Osterville is a village on Cape Cod, part of the town of Barnstable, and people who grew up there tend to hold onto it. A shirt that says Osterville is how someone who spent summers on the harbor, or who still gets back for the holidays, shows where their heart is. It's a gift that works for the local who has moved away and misses the water, the cranberry bogs and the village feel, and for a relative who visits and wants to bring a piece of the Cape home. Pair the village name with a second line like Cape Cod, MA, or a year they were born or married, and the shirt starts to feel personal rather than like a souvenir. A hoodie suits the cool Cape evenings in fall, and a mug fits the kitchen of anyone who still reads the local paper online each morning.
