About this pleasant gap gift
Pleasant Gap is a small town, and people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A shirt with the town name is how someone from there says so at a college reunion, on a trip out of state, or on a Saturday at the grocery store where everybody knows everybody. Small-town pride shows up in the details: the high school class they went to, the year they left, the family farm or main street they still talk about. Add that second line and the shirt stops being a souvenir and starts being theirs. A hoodie suits the cold months, a mug suits the morning coffee of someone who moved away and still misses home, and a baby onesie is a way to start the next generation with the family's hometown already on the label.
