About this portland gift
Portland has two strong identities, and the person you're shopping for probably claims one of them loudly. Some are Oregon rain-and-coffee people who wear flannel into August, and others are Maine lobster-and-harbor people who grew up on the other coast. Either way, a Portland shirt is how they say where they're from. It's a good gift for anyone who moved away and misses the city's food carts, bridges and long walks along the river, and for anyone who's just started a job or school there and wants to feel like a local. A hoodie suits the cold months, a tee works for the summer festivals and farmers markets, and a mug is the daily reminder for the transplant who swears they're never going back. Add a neighborhood or a year underneath if you want it to feel personal, since a line like Alberta Street or Class of 2024 turns a city name into their city.
