About this powhatan gift
Powhatan is a small town, and the people who grew up there tend to carry it with them. A shirt with the town name is how someone tells a stranger where they're really from, whether that's at a state fair, a college dorm or a job across the country. Small towns also mean a lot of family history, so a Powhatan shirt often ends up on a grandparent or a cousin who still comes back for the holidays. For someone who has moved away, a mug with the town on it is a quiet reminder of home every morning. For a new baby born there or a kid who's proud of where they live, a kids tee or onesie with Powhatan is a simple way to start the tradition. Add a second line for a graduation year, a school class or a family name, and the shirt becomes specific to the person wearing it rather than a generic town souvenir.
