About this prepress supervisor gift
A prepress supervisor sits between the designers and the press, checking files, proofs and color before anything gets printed. It's a job that goes unnoticed when it goes right and gets very loud when it doesn't, so the people in it tend to be detail-minded, a little dry, and proud of work nobody sees. A gift that acknowledges the craft lands better than a generic work tee. Think about where they spend their day: at a monitor with a proof open, on a press floor that's cold and loud, or in a meeting where someone wants the job done yesterday. A hoodie fits the cold shop floor, a mug fits the desk where proofs pile up, and a dark tee works for the weekend when they've finally stopped looking at color bars. To make it theirs, put the title on the front and add the shop name or their years in the trade on the second line. Keep the wording plain, since a printer's favorite joke is usually about how little the job is appreciated.
