About this purchase gift
Purchase is a small city in western New York, a town of a few thousand people sitting near the Westchester line that most visitors pass without stopping to look. Someone who grew up there or still lives there may be proud of a small place that doesn't get much attention, and a shirt with the town name is a quiet way to say so. Because the word is also an ordinary English word for buying something, the design plays with two meanings: a gift about a hometown that's also a gift someone is buying for you. For a relative who moved away, a Purchase mug is the morning reminder of where they started. For a family member who still lives there, a hoodie for the cold months does the job. Add a graduation year, a street or the family name on the second line to make it personal.
