About this quicksand gift
Quicksand is a small place to most people, which makes it a warm gift for anyone who knows it as home. A person from Quicksand might be sending word to family across the state, moving away for work, or simply proud of a town most of the country has never heard of. A shirt or hoodie with the name on it is an easy conversation starter, and the kind of gift that gets worn to the local fish fry, the high school game and the drive back through town on a holiday weekend. Because the name is unusual, people will ask about it, and a Quicksand transplant gets to tell the story. A mug works well for the one who moved away, a reminder each morning of where they started. For a child growing up there, a kids tee or a baby onesie gives the family a way to mark their roots from the very beginning.
