About this roscommon gift
Roscommon is a county town in the west of Ireland, and anyone who grew up there, or whose family did, tends to carry the name with them. A Roscommon shirt is how a person who left still wears the place: at a Gaelic football match, in a US bar where somebody asks where they're from, or at a family reunion where the cousins are all back for the summer. The county name works best when it's personal. Add the parish, the village they came from, or the year they left, and it reads as their own story rather than a souvenir. For the one who's far from home, a mug with Roscommon on it is a small daily reminder of where they started. If you're shopping from abroad, that's the detail to lean on: pick the design that says the place they actually mean.
