About this sewanee gift
Sewanee is a small mountain town on the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee, best known as the home of the University of the South, and people who live or study there tend to hold onto the place long after they leave. A gift with Sewanee on it is for the alum who still talks about the Domain, the parent who drove up for move-in weekend, or the former resident who misses the cool summers and the quiet on the mountain. Because the town is small and the name is distinctive, most people will recognize it right away and ask about it, which makes a shirt or mug a good conversation starter. Adding a graduation year or a dorm or class year on the second line makes it theirs in particular. If you're buying for a group, like a class reunion or a family of Sewanee grads, one design with each person's name printed on their own shirt keeps everyone matched.
