About this shepherdstown gift
Shepherdstown is a small river town in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, close enough to Antietam that Civil War history is part of everyday conversation, and with a walkable main street that people who grew up there tend to miss. A person from Shepherdstown often carries that small-town identity wherever they end up, whether it's a college dorm, a job in Northern Virginia or a retirement in Florida. What makes a gift land for them is something that says where they're from without needing a long explanation. A tee or hoodie with the town name on the front and a second line for a graduating class year, a street or a family name turns a souvenir into a personal marker. A mug works well for the homesick transplant who wants a daily reminder of home. Since many designs have a second line, you can type in whatever detail makes the gift specific to them.
