About this shuqualak gift
Shuqualak is a small town in Noxubee County, Mississippi, and the people who grew up there tend to stay connected to it, whether they still live down the road or have moved to Jackson, Atlanta or farther. A shirt with the town name is how they claim it at a homecoming, a family reunion or a church picnic, and it's a gift that gets worn to the same kinds of gatherings year after year. Small-town pride is personal, so the details that land best are the ones that belong to this person: the year they left, the school they went to, the family name that's been there for generations. Many designs have a second line, so you can add a year or a name underneath the town. A hoodie suits someone who misses the cooler mornings of home, and a mug fits the kitchen of anyone who still calls Shuqualak home.
