About this vehicle mechanic gift
Vehicle mechanics spend their days with their heads under hoods, hands in grease and wrenches in every size, and they often get home smelling like the shop. The gifts they tend to keep are the ones that respect that work: a sturdy tee they can wear under coveralls, a hoodie for the cold bay with the big door open, a mug that's clearly theirs so it doesn't end up in the parts room. Mechanics also take pride in being the person who figured out the strange noise, so a shirt with their trade on it reads as a point of pride rather than a joke. Add their name or their shop's name on a second line, or a year they started, and the design belongs to them. If you're shopping for a whole shop, a single design with each mechanic's name on their own shirt makes a better gift than another round of lunch, and it stays in the toolbox long after the meal is gone.
