About this waianae gift
Waianae is a town on the leeward, or western, coast of Oahu in Hawaii, and the people who call it home tend to hold on to it tightly wherever life takes them. A Waianae shirt is how someone wears that pride to the beach, to a family barbecue, or back on the mainland where everyone asks where they're from. Because the name itself is the point, it works best on the plainest designs, with a second line for a family name, a graduating class, or a year that matters to them. A hoodie suits the cooler evenings for someone who has moved away and misses the sun, and a mug is a quiet daily reminder of home. If you're shopping for a relative who grew up there, think about the details only they would recognize, such as the school they attended or the year they left, and put that on the design so it feels like theirs.
