About this wausa gift
Wausa is a small town, and I don't know much about its history or local landmarks, so I'd rather not guess at details. What I can say is that people who grew up in a town this size tend to hold onto it. A shirt with the town name is a way for someone who's left to wear where they're from, whether that's to a college sweatshirt-weather campus, a family reunion, or a visit back home. Think about the person's life there: where they went to school, where they worked, which place they still drive back to. Adding a year, a school class, or a family name on the second line turns a generic town shirt into one that belongs to them. Family members who stayed behind often like a mug for the kitchen, a little reminder of home every morning.
