About this wynantskill gift
Wynantskill is a small hamlet in the Town of Schodack in Rensselaer County, New York, a name that people who grew up there tend to hold onto. A gift that carries the name is a way to say you know where someone comes from, and for a place this small that kind of recognition means a lot. Think about who's on your list: someone who came back for a reunion, someone who left the Capital Region and still talks about the creek, or a kid just learning to spell the town's unusual name. A shirt or hoodie with Wynantskill on it works for a visit home or a long-distance birthday. A mug suits the person who misses the place most. Since you're giving them their hometown back, add a line of detail only you would know, like a street, a year or a family name, and the gift turns from a souvenir into their own.
