About this basenji gift
Basenjis are the dogs that don't bark, which is the first thing most people learn about them and the last thing a Basenji owner stops explaining. They're small, cat-like, fastidious about their own cleanliness, and they'll make a sound somewhere between a yodel and a scream when something interests them. A Basenji person is usually a little amused by the breed and a little proud of putting up with it. A shirt with the breed name is the easy gift, but it lands harder when you add the detail they live with: a second line with the dog's name, or a line about the silence, a line that gets a laugh at the dog park. For the owner who has tried to explain the yodel to strangers, a mug on the kitchen counter every morning is a small joke they'll enjoy every day.
All basenji gifts →- A tee with their dog's namePut the dog's name on the second line under Basenji so the shirt is about their particular dog.
- A hoodie for the morning walkBasenjis are sleek and short-coated, so a warm hoodie is useful for the owner walking them in the cold.
- A mug for the breed fanAn 11 oz mug with Basenji is a daily reminder of the quiet dog that isn't quiet at all.
- A kids tee for a future ownerIf the family has a Basenji, a kids tee lets the child show off the breed at school.
