About this battle ground gift
Battle Ground is a small city in Clark County, Washington, and a shirt with its name on it is the kind of thing a local wears to the high school game, the farmers market, or the grocery store where everybody knows everybody. For someone who grew up there, or who moved away and still counts it as home, a gift with the city name is a quiet way of saying you remember where they're from. Because the name is a little unusual, a lot of people also have to explain it, so a shirt or mug does some of that work for them. A hoodie suits the cold, wet months when the Pacific Northwest weather settles in. A mug fits the kitchen of a local who has lived through every version of the town. Add a second line with a neighborhood, a year they graduated, or a street and the gift becomes specific to their own time there.
