About this dunkirk gift
Dunkirk is a small city, and that's exactly why people who grew up there hold onto it. Whether someone is from Dunkirk, New York on the shore of Lake Erie or Dunkirk, Maryland near the Chesapeake, a shirt with the town name is how they show where they're from. It's the sort of gift that gets worn to the local high school game, to the family reunion, or to the grocery store where everyone knows everyone. For someone who moved away, a mug with the name is a small daily reminder of home. Add a second line with a graduation year, a street, or a family name and the design starts to feel like theirs rather than a generic town souvenir. Because the designs come in adult, kids and baby sizes, you can make a matching set for a whole family visiting the old hometown.
