About this monsey gift
Monsey is a village in Rockland County, New York, and the people who live there or come from there tend to carry it with them. A Monsey shirt is how someone wears their hometown at a family simcha, on a trip back for the holidays, or just on an ordinary weekend in another city where nobody has heard of it. Because Monsey is a close-knit community, a shirt with the village name often means more to the person wearing it than a generic souvenir would. For a teenager heading off to school, a hoodie with Monsey on the front is a way to take home along. For the grandparents who stayed put, a mug with the village name gives them a reason to smile every morning. If you know the street, the school or the year they moved, put that on the second line. It turns a place name into their place.
