About this ooltewah gift
Ooltewah is a community in Hamilton County, Tennessee, on the northeast side of Chattanooga, and a lot of the people who live there are rooted in it: they grew up on the same roads, know which exit has the good barbecue, and still say they're going to Ooltewah when they mean the whole area. A shirt or mug with the name is a way to claim that small-town-near-the-city identity. It suits someone who has been there for years, someone who moved out and misses it, or a new resident who wants to show they've landed. Because the name is distinctive, many shoppers like it as a conversation starter, and the second line is a good place to add a year, a street, or a high school mascot if that's part of their story. A hoodie works for the cool mornings that come in fall, and a mug fits the kitchen of anyone who still calls home Ooltewah when people ask where they're from.
