About this processing archivist gift
A processing archivist works behind the scenes, taking in collections that often arrive in boxes nobody has opened in decades. They sort, describe and rehouse materials so researchers can find what they need later, and much of the work happens quietly at a desk or in a storage room. A gift that acknowledges that patient, detail-minded job tends to land well. A tee or hoodie with their job title shows you see what they do, and it gives them something to wear to a conference or a lunch with other archive folks. If you want it more personal, add their institution, a department, or the year they started. For a coworker's farewell or a promotion, a mug with their title makes a practical gift that will sit on their desk through many long processing days.
