About this research assoc gift
Research associates spend their days running experiments, cleaning data, writing up methods and waiting on results that may not come until next month. They're often the person who knows where the samples are, which freezer is failing and why the protocol changed in March. A gift that acknowledges that behind-the-scenes work tends to land well. A soft tee for the lab or a hoodie for cold cleanroom days covers the practical side, while a mug that's clearly theirs gets used every morning at the bench. Put their name on it, and if you know their lab or field, add it on the second line so it feels specific rather than generic. Many research associates are early in their careers and building a sense of identity in the field, so a piece that marks the role or a first lab job can mean more than you'd expect. Choose the product that fits their daily routine and let the details come from what you know about their work.
