About this tiverton gift
Tiverton is a small town, and people who live there tend to know everyone else at the grocery store, the town green and the Fourth of July parade. A Tiverton shirt is how someone shows that they belong to a place where a name on a sign means something. It works best for the person who's left and come back, the one who moved away for work and still roots for the high school team, or the family that has lived there for generations and wants a shirt that says so. Because the name is the whole point, the most useful detail you can add is the year they moved there, the street or neighborhood they grew up on, or the school they attended. Those lines turn a town name into their town. For someone who's only visited, a Tiverton hoodie or mug works as a souvenir with a personal reason behind it, something they can wear on a cold morning and point to when people ask where they're from.
