About this truro gift
Truro is a small town on Cape Cod, known for its quiet harbor, sandy beaches and the Highland Light, the lighthouse that sits on the bluffs at the top of the town. People who grew up there, or who spend summers on the Outer Cape, tend to carry the place with them long after they've left. A Truro shirt is how they say it out loud at a Boston bar, on a campus quad or at a backyard cookout in a city that has no idea where Cape Cod is. Because the town is small, a design with Truro on it tends to start conversations, and that's part of the gift. Pair the word with a second line for a year, a street or a favorite beach, and it becomes personal. For someone who spent childhood summers there and now lives far away, a Truro mug is the daily reminder of where they're from. A hoodie works well for the cold shoulder seasons on the Cape, when the wind comes off the water and the beaches are empty.
