About this burney gift
Burney is a small town in Shasta County, California, in the northern part of the state, up in the mountains near the edge of the Lassen area. Most people who live there know each other, and a Burney shirt is a way of saying where you're from when you're far away. Someone who grew up there and moved to the Bay Area or out of state will likely appreciate a tee or mug that carries the town name, especially if they miss the mountain air and the slower pace. For a person who still lives there, a hoodie is practical for cold mornings in the higher elevations. You can keep it simple with just the town name, or add a second line for a year or a family name to make it feel personal. Because the word is a place name, it works best as a reminder of home rather than a generic souvenir.
