About this chittenango gift
Chittenango is a village in central New York, a small place in Madison County where a lot of people grew up and then scattered. A shirt with the village name is how someone who left wears home with them, whether they're now in Syracuse, across the country, or just down the road in a bigger town. It's also the easy gift for a family that's proud of where they're from, the kind of people who stop at the same diner every visit and know everyone's kids. Since the place is small, the name carries more weight than a generic city shirt, and that's what makes it land. For a graduate or a newly married couple moving away, a hoodie or mug with Chittenango on it says where they started without making a speech. Add a year, a street, or a class year in the second line to make it theirs.
