About this dyess afb gift
Dyess Air Force Base is in Abilene, Texas, home to the 7th Bomb Wing and the B-1 Lancer, and it's where a lot of military families put down roots for a few years at a time. The people who've lived there tend to hold onto that place: the flight line at dawn, the Texas heat, the friends made in base housing and the squadron barbecues. A Dyess shirt is how they carry it with them after the orders come through. Since the base is a home for families moving every few years, the gift that lands best is one that names the person's own chapter there. Add the years they were stationed, their squadron, or the unit they served with on the second line. Mugs suit the one who now sits at a kitchen table far away, and hoodies are the pick for the cold winter where Abilene feels a long way off.
