About this ft devens gift
Fort Devens is the Army post in Ayer, Massachusetts, with a long history as a training and mobilization site, and the people connected to it tend to carry that place with them for life. A veteran who trained there, a family member who grew up on the post, or a retiree who still drives past the gate each year will feel a shirt with the name as a real nod to where they spent part of their life. Keep the design simple and let the place name do the talking. Add a second line for a unit, a class year, or the years they were stationed there, and it turns a place into their story. A hoodie suits the chilly New England mornings, a mug suits the office or the kitchen, and a dark tee works well for the veteran who still wears their old unit colors on weekends. If you're unsure of a specific detail, a short message on the shirt that names the year they served is often enough to make it personal.
