About this leigh gift
Leigh is a name that carries a lot of different places in it. There's Leigh in Greater Manchester, Leigh-on-Sea on the Essex coast, and a handful of smaller towns and villages across England, each with its own history and its own people who are proud of it. Leigh as a city word also turns up for people who grew up there, moved away and kept the name close. A shirt that says Leigh is how a person from there tells a stranger where they're from without a long explanation. For someone who's moved far from home, a mug or a hoodie with the town name is a small way to carry it with them. If you're not sure which Leigh they mean, ask before you order, or use a second line for the county or the year they lived there so the gift fits their own story.
