About this lisle gift
Lisle is a village in DuPage County, Illinois, a short drive west of Chicago, and people who grew up there tend to hold onto it. A Lisle shirt is how a former resident says so: at a reunion, on a trip back to visit family, or just on an ordinary weekday when someone asks where they're from. Because Lisle is a smaller place, a shirt with the name on it often starts a conversation, and the person wearing it gets to explain. For someone who moved away, a Lisle mug is a quiet reminder of home every morning. For a kid or a new baby whose family is from Lisle, the kids tees and onesies make a sweet way to pass the town along. Add a year or a street name on the second line if the connection is more personal, like the year they graduated from Lisle schools or the year the family moved in.
