About this milbank gift

Milbank is a small town, and that's what makes it worth a gift. People who grew up there, or still live there, tend to carry the name with them, whether it's a hometown pride thing, a reunion, or a family that's been around long enough that the town name is basically a last name. A shirt that says Milbank is a quick way to tell someone you know where they're from. It works well for the person who moved away and misses the place, or for someone who never leaves and wears their town on everything. Because Milbank is a less common name, a second line can do the heavy lifting: add a graduation year, a high school class, a street, or a nickname the town uses. The result sounds like an inside joke with the people who get it, and that's usually the gift people keep. Hoodies suit cold-weather towns, and mugs suit the kitchen table where the local news gets argued over.
