About this limerick gift
Limerick is a city of about a few hundred thousand people on the Shannon, known for its old stone walls, its university, and a rugby following that fills pubs on match days. People who grew up there or studied there tend to carry it with them, so a Limerick shirt works as a way of saying where they're from when they're far away. Limerick is also the city behind the name of a comic verse form, which gives the word a little built-in humor if you want the shirt to make people smile. For a student heading off to college or a graduate starting a first job, a hoodie or mug with the city on it is a warm reminder of home. Add a neighborhood, a school or a graduation year on the second line to make it personal.
