About this montour falls gift
Montour Falls is a small village in the Finger Lakes region of New York, set around a gorge and waterfalls that people who grew up there grew up hiking past. The people who live there know it by its creek, its main street and the families who have been around for generations, and a shirt with the village name is how they claim it, whether they're still there or have moved on to a city with more traffic. For someone who left, a hoodie or mug with Montour Falls on it is a warm reminder of where they came from, especially when the winters get long. For someone who stayed, a tee worn to a high school game or a farmers market says more than a generic souvenir ever could. Adding a year, a graduating class or a street name underneath makes the gift feel specific to their own time in town.
