About this peaks island gift
Peaks Island is a small island a short ferry ride off Portland, Maine, with year-round residents, summer cottages, and a slower pace than the mainland. People who grew up there or spend their summers there tend to carry the island with them, whether that's a summer job at a shop on the island, a childhood on the ferry, or a few weeks every August with the same porch and the same neighbors. A Peaks Island shirt marks that connection in a way a generic Maine shirt can't. Because the island is small, the name itself does most of the work, so you can keep the design simple and let the word speak. Add a second line for a year, a street or a nickname if the person has one. A mug suits the one who wakes up missing the water, and a hoodie is a good pick for the island's cool evenings on the ferry.
