About this pinole gift
Pinole is a small city in Contra Costa County, in the East Bay, and the people who grew up there tend to be proud of it in a quiet way. A Pinole shirt is how they say so without a speech: on a weekend walk, at a reunion, or on the first warm day when everyone is out. Because it's a smaller place, a shirt that names the city stands out in a way a big-city tee doesn't. It also tends to be a gift for the person who moved away and still calls it home, the one who misses the local spots and the familiar streets. A mug on the desk or a hoodie for the trip back east keeps that connection close. You can add a street, a school class year or a neighborhood on the second line so the shirt feels like theirs, not a generic souvenir.
