Veseli Soccer mug

About this veseli gift

Veseli is a name that points to a place: a town or city in its own right, and the word a family would use to say where they come from. Someone who grew up there, or whose grandparents did, carries that place into every new city they live in. A shirt or mug with Veseli on it is a way to say so without a long story. The people most likely to love one are the ones who left and still call it home, the cousins who meet up once a year, and the new arrivals who want to belong to it. Because the word is a place name, the details that matter most come from the person's own history, so a second line with a street, a family name or a return year makes the design theirs. For a hoodie, pick one they'll wear through a cold year somewhere else. For a mug, choose the one that sits on their desk each morning and reminds them where they're from.
