About this weirton gift
Weirton is a steel town in the northern panhandle of West Virginia, right on the Ohio River, and a lot of the people who grew up there carry that history with them. A Weirton shirt is how they claim the place, whether they still live down the street from their parents or left decades ago and come back for the holidays. Lots of families have someone who worked the mill and someone who went off to school and never quite settled anywhere else. A tee or hoodie with Weirton on it fits both kinds of people, and a mug works well for the one who moved away and wants a daily reminder of home. If you're buying for a kid, a onesie or kids tee with Weirton is an easy way to start a family tradition of wearing where you're from. Add a second line with a graduating class year, a street or a nickname, and the shirt starts to sound like it came from someone who knows the town.
