About this westmorland gift
Westmorland is a county in northwest England, the Lake District country of fells, slate and sheep, with Kendal and Appleby among its towns. It's also a name a lot of people from there carry with them when they move on, so a Westmorland shirt tends to go to someone who misses the hills more than they say. A tee or hoodie that just says Westmorland is a quiet nod to home, the kind of thing you'd wear on a walk or to a pub quiz where someone asks where you're from. The mug is the everyday version, something to hold on a cold morning in a flat far from the fells. For a child or a new baby with family roots there, the kids tees and onesies carry the name forward. If you know the person's town or village, add it on the second line so the shirt is theirs and not just the county's.
