About this drilling engineer gift
A drilling engineer spends a lot of time thinking about what happens thousands of feet below the surface, planning wells, watching pressure numbers, and working rigs in remote places where the weather sets the schedule. Many of them are on rotation, so a gift that goes with them to the job site or sits on the kitchen counter when they're home for their days off tends to land well. Engineers who've been in the field a long time often value things that are practical and a little rugged, and they're usually the first to notice when a gift is made without any real thought. Put their title on the shirt or mug, and add the year they started, the company they're proudest of, or the basin they spend most of their time in if that feels right to them. Dark tees and hoodies hold up to shop floors and cold mornings, and a mug works for the early briefing that always starts before the coffee has cooled.
All drilling engineer gifts →- A dark tee for the rigDrilling engineers often wear casual shirts on site, and a dark tee with their title hides the wear better than a light one.
- A hoodie for the cold morningsEarly starts and open-air rigs call for something warm, and a hoodie with their job title is easy to wear on the way out the door.
- A mug for the planning meetingsAn 11 oz mug with drilling engineer on it is a small daily reminder of the work they're proudest of.
- A shirt for their first yearIf someone just moved into the role, add the year they started so the shirt marks where their career began.
