About this graphic designer gift
Graphic designers spend their days making other people's ideas look good, so a gift for one works best when it quietly respects their eye. They notice kerning on a menu and a bad drop shadow across a parking lot, which means a shirt that's cleanly laid out will win more points than a loud one. Most of them work in neutral wardrobes and long hours at a desk, so a soft tee or a hoodie for the studio thermostat gets real use. Many are freelancers or work from home, and a mug that's theirs sits next to the monitor all day. Make it personal with their name, their studio or business name, or the specialty they're proud of: branding, packaging, type, illustration, motion. A job title with the year they went out on their own, or the year they graduated, turns a design shirt into a small milestone. Shopping for an agency or a design class? One design with everyone's name works well for the whole group.
All graphic designer gifts →- A tee with their specialtyPut Branding, Packaging, Type or Illustration on the second line so it reads like a title they earned, not a slogan.
- A mug for the deskAn 11 oz mug with their name or studio name suits the freelancer who's been at the same desk since morning.
- A dark tee or hoodie for the studioA hoodie or dark tee in a clean, simple design fits the all-black wardrobe many designers already have, and it handles a cold office or a late deadline.
- Matching shirts for the design teamPick one design in the Team Shop and paste in the team's names so everyone gets their own name and size, which makes a good agency anniversary or class-project gift.
