About this tonga gift
Tonga is a kingdom of more than 170 islands in the South Pacific, and the people who carry it with them tend to hold onto it hard. Many Tongans now live in New Zealand, Australia, Utah and California, and a shirt that says Tonga is how they stay connected to home on a family barbecue, at a church gathering or on a trip back to the islands. What makes a gift land is the sense that you know where they come from. You can put the country name on the front and a village, island or family name underneath, which turns a souvenir into something personal. For a student heading abroad or someone who has just moved away, a mug or hoodie carries that home with them every day. Tonga is a small country with a big sense of family, and a gift that reflects that will be kept and used for years.
