About this able bodied seaman gift
An able bodied seaman is the deckhand who actually keeps a ship moving: standing watch, steering, handling lines, chipping and painting, and staying sharp through long stretches at sea. It's skilled work that doesn't always get noticed from shore, which is why a gift that says what they do goes over well with them and with the family waiting at home. Most AB seamen spend weeks or months away, so the things they keep are practical: a hoodie for a cold night on deck, a mug that survives a rolling galley, a tee to wear on the first day back on land. Make it theirs by typing AB or Able Bodied Seaman into the text box, then add a vessel name, a rating, or the year they earned their ticket on the second line. If you're buying for a crew, the Team Shop lets you print one design with each person's name on it.
All able bodied seaman gifts →- A hoodie for the night watchA hoodie with AB and their name on it works for cold deck watches and for the walk back to the dock. It's a gift they'll actually pack.
- A mug with their vessel on itPut the ship's name or their rating on an 11 oz mug for the galley or the kitchen back home. It's an easy gift for the seaman who already has everything.
- A tee for the day they get homeAdd the year they earned their AB endorsement to a tee, so it marks the milestone as well as the job. Pick a dark tee if they like to wear it with work pants.
- Matching shirts for the deck crewUse the Team Shop to print one design for the whole deck department, with each person's name on their own shirt. It makes a nice send-off or end-of-voyage gift.
