About this bus boy gift
A busser works the floor that nobody notices until a table is wiped clean, a water glass is refilled and the plates vanish before the last bite is swallowed. Most shifts are long stretches of carrying bins, resetting tables and keeping the dining room moving while the servers and cooks get the attention. A gift that says bus boy out loud tells them their work is seen. Put it on a tee they can wear to the restaurant or a hoodie for the cold walk to the bus stop after close. A mug works well for the break room, where a busser's coffee is often the only thing that gets a few quiet minutes. Add a second line for the restaurant name or a shift if you know it, and the shirt becomes theirs rather than a generic one. Busing is often the first real job for a teenager, so kids tees also make a fun gift for someone just starting out.
