About this choker setter gift
A choker setter is the person who hooks the cable around logs in the woods, usually well before the machines arrive, so their days are spent in mud, cold, and noise under heavy timber. The gifts they actually use are the ones that hold up to that work: a tee for the job site, a hoodie for the first frosty morning in the cutting unit, a mug that's clearly theirs so it doesn't end up in the crew truck with someone else's name. Put the job title on the front, since that's the word they answer to every shift, and add a second line for their crew, their company or the year they started. That detail is what turns a generic logger shirt into something they'll wear for years. Gifts for logging people land best when they feel like they were made by someone who knows the work, so take a minute to match the second line to how they'd describe themselves.
All choker setter gifts →- A tee for the job siteA choker setter tee in a dark color hides the sawdust and the grease better than light ones do.
- A hoodie for cold morningsBefore daylight and in the woods, a warm hoodie with their title on it is something they'll reach for every week.
- A mug for the crew truckAn 11 oz mug with the job title and their name keeps the thermos routine personal.
- A kids tee for the familyIf they have kids who ask what Dad or Mom does all day, a kids tee with the same title is a fun way to answer.
