About this dining room captain gift
A dining room captain runs the floor of a restaurant: they know which table is celebrating, which guest is allergic to shellfish, and when the kitchen is about to fall behind. Long service nights and a lot of standing mean the gifts they keep are the comfortable ones, plus something that marks them as the person who runs the room. Put dining room captain on a soft tee for a shift off, or on a mug for the server station where the coffee is always cold by the time they sit down. A hoodie suits the chilly walk-in and the late drive home after a big weekend. If you're buying for a whole floor team, one design with each person's name on their own shirt makes a better thank-you than another round of drinks. Add their name on a second line so it's clearly theirs and not the restaurant's.
