About this direct care worker gift
Direct care workers, the aides and caregivers who help people bathe, eat, move and get through the day, often work long shifts with little recognition beyond a paycheck and a tired back. A gift that acknowledges the job itself lands well: a soft tee for the drive home after a double, a hoodie for the chilly mornings on a client's porch, a mug that's clearly theirs in a shared break room. Their work is personal and hands-on, so what feels right is something that speaks to that kind of care. Put their name on it, and add the setting they work in, such as home care, group home or assisted living, if it suits them. Many designs have a second line for exactly that. If you're buying for a whole team at an agency, one design in the Team Shop with each person's name on their own shirt says thanks better than a card passed around the office.
