About this director advertising gift
An advertising director usually has a title that sounds bigger than the day really is. They're running a team of creatives and account people, arguing over a campaign deadline, and trying to keep a client happy while the budget shrinks. A gift that acknowledges the job, not just the title, lands well. A shirt with Director of Advertising on it is a fun wear to the office or to a creative offsite, and a mug is the kind of thing that sits on the desk through the next big pitch. For a rising creative who's just been promoted into the role, a hoodie with the title and the year they got it marks the moment without much fuss. Keep the wording exact, since the title is the whole point, and let the design do the rest.
