About this first assist gift
A first assist is the person who keeps the rescue moving before the rest of the crew arrives, usually working through long shifts in the back of an ambulance or on a fire engine, and often answering calls at hours that wreck any sense of routine. Gifts for this job land best when they're practical for the shift itself: a soft tee for the drive to the station, a hoodie for the cold ride home after a call, or a mug they can keep at the table between runs. Adding their name or station number turns a generic emergency-services shirt into something that's clearly theirs, and it keeps the mug from wandering off the counter. If you're thinking about a whole crew, one design with each person's name on their own shirt is a good way to mark a shared season or a milestone, like finishing a certification course. Choose the product that fits their routine, then make it personal with a name or the detail they care about most.
