About this mcbride gift
McBride is a Scottish and Irish surname, and the family it belongs to is usually one that gathers loudly, whether for a reunion, a wedding or a holiday table where everyone argues about who got the best side of the family recipes. A shirt with the name on it is how a McBride finds other McBrides in a crowd and how a family photo looks like a family. Because the name is less common than Smith, a McBride shirt tends to start conversations: people ask if you're related, and somebody usually is. Add a reunion year, the town the family came from, or the grandparents' first names on a second line and the design stops being generic. For a newlywed taking the name, a mug or hoodie with McBride on it marks the change in a way that feels like theirs. Many designs come in kids and baby sizes, so the whole family can match in one photo.
