About this music director gift
A music director carries a whole choir, orchestra or worship band in their head: the tempos, the cues, the names of forty people who keep showing up on Tuesday nights. Their days run on rehearsal schedules, late concert loads and a stack of scores that never quite shrinks. What tends to land well is something that acknowledges the work without turning it into a costume. A soft tee they can rehearse in, a hoodie for the cold church hall, or a mug for the podium-side coffee that goes cold while they're conducting. Put the job title on the front and a second line for the ensemble, the school, or the year they took the post, and it becomes specific to them. If you're buying for the whole music program, one design with each member's name on their own shirt makes a warmer thank-you than a card passed around the room. The spring concert season and the end of the school year are the busiest times to order.
